Paying the TSA to be groped and degraded across America

Every single day millions of us are being subjected to the shameful processes of being searched, screened and viewed naked by full body scanners, and/or patted, groped, fondled, poked and stroked by badge-wearing strangers.

TSA makes up over 60,000 employees at 450 airports, around 133 police per airport, in addition to local airport police. Last week TSA announced that airline passengers should expect to see and feel additional pat-down procedures at U.S. airports over the coming weeks to provide another layer of security.

The following blurb comes from CNN, thanks to one of its employees who chose to speak up a little:

Rosemary Fitzpatrick, a CNN employee, said she was subjected to a pat-down at the Orlando, Florida, airport on Wednesday night after her underwire bra set off a magnetometer. She said she was taken to a private area and searched, with transportation screening officers telling her the pat-down was a new procedure.

According to Fitzpatrick, a female screener ran her hands around her breasts, over her stomach, buttocks and her inner thighs, and briefly touched her crotch.”I felt helpless, I felt violated, and I felt humiliated,” Fitzpatrick said, adding that she was reduced to tears at the checkpoint. She particularly objected to the fact that travelers were not warned about the new procedures.

  1. And here’s the latest installment of madness:

The Transportation Security Administration has opened an investigation targeting John Tyner, the Oceanside man who left San Diego Airport under duress on Saturday morning after refusing to undertake a full body scan.

Tyner recorded the half-hour long encounter on his cell phone and later posted it to his personal blog, along with an extensive account of the incident. The blog went viral, attracting hundreds of thousands of readers and thousands of comments.

According to Michael J. Aguilar, chief of the TSA office in San Diego, Tyner is now under investigation for leaving the security area without permission. That’s prohibited, among other reasons, to prevent potential terrorists from entering security, gaining information, and leaving.

The incoherence and absurdity part is that the TSA authorities, including several “supervisors,” told Tyner he had to leave the security area …and escorted him out!

  2. More on the above incident:

John Tyner described in detail the experience after he opted for the patdown, instead of the full body scan.

Tyner tells TSA agents: “If you touch my junk, I’m gonna have you arrested.”

“Upon buying your ticket, you gave up a lot of your rights,” said one TSA agent

“The government took them away after 9/11,” Tyner countered.

  3. IN CASE MR. TYLER IS UNAWARE HE IS GIVING ALL THE SIGNALS THAT A WOULDBE TERRORIST WOULD DISPLAY WITH ENOUGH IGNORANCE AND FALSE PRIDE TO SEAL AN INDICTMENT ON HIS ASS. WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR NOT KISSING MR. TYLERS ASS. IF MR. TYLER WOULD LIKE TO SHOWUP IN FEDERAL COURT WHICH HE MAY WELL DO I`M SURE THE FEDERAL JUDGE WHOM HAS BEEN TRIALING TERRORISTS CAN GIVE MRA TYLER THE RUNDOWN ON HOW HE WILL SERVE HIS TIME. I`LL BET HE WILL DAMN SURE RESPECT OUR NATIONS PEACE THEN UNLESS HE IS TRULY CHOOSING TO AID AND ABET AL-QAEDA.

    • My diagnosis of your opinion (expressed here and on other posts on this blog) is that you have a serious case of “Al Qaeda on the brain”!! To the point this filters and infiltrates your every thought on any given subject under the sun.

If you have followed this story at all, you are one of the few voicing this viewpoint. The vast majority are likening John Tyner to Rosa Parks, whose simple act of civil disobedience sparked the human rights movement in the South.

Many in this nation are fed up with these over-the-top, so-called security measures that the citizens of this once-free country now have to endure. So when someone does get so pissed they finally speak up, a spontaneous and united cheer of emotion swells, as it has in this case.

  4. YOU KNOW WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING THIS WAR SUCCESSFULY FOR ABOUT 9 YRS NOW.. WHEN PRESIDENT CLINTON WAS IN OFFICE WE WERE THINKING THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE ANOTHER WAR FOR A LONGTIME LIKE THE COLDWAR. THE PRESIDENT DIDNT READ HIS PDB`S AND PRETTY MUCHH FIRED THE MILITARY. IF THE PUBLIC WANTS TO GO BACK TO THAT MENTALITY THEY CAN SURE DO IT AGAIN. AND THERE WILL BE MANY MORE 911`S. THE TRUTH IS IF ANYONE WOULD LOOK AT WHAT I AM WRITING HERE OBJECTIVELY THEY MIGHT WONDER WHY THIS IS SO TRUE. AND WHAT I SAID WAS NOT NEARLY AS MUCH OF AN ATTENTION GETTER AS 911 WAS. QND SINCE WE HAVE PUT THESE SECURITY MEASURES INTO ACTION THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANOTHER 911 EITHER. MY OPPOLOGIES FOR GETTING TO YOUR NERVE O THAT AND I DONT KNOW IF YOU WERE ALLOWED TO SEE THE CARNAGE OF THOSE 3000 BODIES STACKED UP IN PIECES ON THE GROUND AFTER 911 BUT I DID BRO AAND I DONT WANT TO SEE THAT HAPPEN TO MRA TYLER OR ANYONE FLYING IN OUR AIRSPACE OR ANY GOOD PEOPLE FLYING ANYWHERE ON THIS EARTH TO HAVE TO BE A BUNCH OF BODYPARTS BURNING..

    • Regardless of someone’s position on the naked body scanners, and the part they play in enhancing air travel security, they do accomplish something far more intriguing:

The successful completion of an experiment in human behavior.

If you were to pose the question “Will people line up like cattle to be electronically undressed in front of government security officers?” the answer is now unequivocally YES!

Up to this point, most people have simply done whatever they’re told by government authorities, even if it means giving up their privacy or their freedoms. Almost anything can be sold to the public under the guise of “fighting terrorism” these days, including subjecting your body to what is essentially a low-radiation CT scan at the airport.

  5. […] Ten years after 9/11, Americans who fly are facing a Faustian choice between subjecting themselves to a virtual (and potentially medically damaging) strip search conducted in questionable machines run by federal employees, or a psychologically damaging pat-down of their bodies. […]

  6. BROTHER THE ONLY HOPE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE IS TO HAVE SOMEONE COME ALONG AND PISS THEM OFF ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM CHANGE THEMSELVES AND THEIR GOVERNMENT. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT THIS THING AND BECAUSE OUR NATIONS LEADERSHIP HAS BEEN TAKING CONTROL AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC FOR SO LONG THEY FEEL THAT THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER CHOICE. BUT NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A HUMAN BEING OR THE PUBLIC’S ABILITY TO ACCEPT OR DENY THE GOVERNMENTS WISHES. WE ARE IN THE MIDST OF A PUBLIC TAKEOVER OF THE GOVERNMENT. AND I HAVE SPENT A LONG 37 YRS PISSING OFF THE PUBLIC AND THE GOVERNMENT TOO. BUT GOD IS HAPPY WITH ME. AND WHEN THE PUBLIC AND THE GOVERNMENT WANT WHAT IVE GOT THEY CAN HAVE IT. AFTER ALL I HAVENT BEEN PAID ONE RED CENT FOR ANY WORK I HAVE DONE. THE GOVERNMENT AND THE PUBLIC HAVE BEEN GETTING RICH OFF OF MY IDEAS FOR THAT LONG AND I HAVE DONE EXTENSIVE MILITARY AND CIVILIAN INTELLIGENCE WORK AS WELL AS CREATED MANY WEAPONS FOR OUR GOVERNMENT TOO. BUT THE END RESULT IS I GET WHAT THE WORLD AND GOD OFFERS.I AM FREE

  7. […] TSA, which is a component of DHS, claims authority to subject passengers to either an intrusive hand searches or to x-ray scans that reveal a nude image of the passengers’ bodies. Many consider such searches unconstitutional as violative of the Fourth Amendment to our […]
